Bug report points out that LG is producing the successor Google Pixel XL

A bug report indicates that LG is the manufacturer of the larger of two upcoming Google Pixel phones. Previously, it seemed that HTC would produce two Pixels, but the largest of them would have been canceled.

The site 9to5Google found a bug report regarding the charging system of the Taimen, which earlier rumors spoke of as the largest of three possible Google Pixel phones. An LG employee reported the bug, after which a Google employee asked to move the bug to a folder for the Taimen. That folder is in another folder called LGE, LG Electronics.

Taimen was known to be the largest of three possible Pixel phones, but on Monday, Android Police reported that the middle of the three, Muskie, has been canceled. This would make the device codenamed as the successor to last year’s Pixel XL.

Nothing is known about the specs and details of the Taimen. LG previously produced the Nexus 5X for Google in 2015, the Nexus 5 in 2013 and Nexus 4 in 2012. HTC took over the production of the first-generation Pixel phones.
