The error occurs when a call hangs. If Skype is then restarted, the last message may inadvertently be sent to someone else. It is not clear how many users are affected by the bug. “We cannot determine exactly how many people are affected by these issues, but we believe they are a small number because the issues occur in very specific situations,” Sendrauskas said. According to Skype, the issues can occur with the following versions: Skype 5.9 and 5.10 for Windows, 5.8 for Mac, 4.0 for Linux, 1.2 for Windows Phone, 2.8 for Android and 4.0 for iOS.
