“Bug in iOS version Facebook Messenger limits messages to a few words”

There appears to be a bug in Facebook Messenger for iOS that allows users to type only a few words per message before being able to enter any more words. Reinstalling the app or restarting the phone doesn’t seem to help.

After a few words, the app freezes and users can still type, but the words no longer appear on the screen, Techcrunch reports. The app can then still send the message. The bug appears to affect only Facebook Messenger. Other apps on iOS devices of affected users show no issues or anomalies.

Facebook says it is investigating the bug, so it is not yet known what the error is exactly. Users have tried restarting their iPhone and reinstalling the app, but none of them help. It is still unknown if all users of Facebook Messenger are affected by the problem and when Facebook will come up with a solution.
