Buds2 Pro earbuds from Samsung have speak-to-chat functionality
Samsung presented the Galaxy Buds2 Pro earbuds at its own Unpacked event. The new luxury wireless earbuds now have speak-to-chat, which turns the noise cancellation off when users speak themselves.
The function is known from the Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones and is now also in the earbuds. There is also 360-degree audio with head tracking technology from Dolby. In addition, there is support for a Samsung Seamless Codec in combination with Galaxy smartphones with OneUI 4.1 and higher. Functions such as automatic audio source switching and SmartThings Find are also reserved for Samsung smartphones.
The earbuds are 15 percent smaller than last year’s Buds Pro. This is reflected in the size of the drivers. The Buds2 Pro have 10mm woofers instead of the 11mm woofers fitted in the previous generation Buds Pro. The tweeters are 5.3mm in size, instead of the 6.5mm tweeters found in the current Buds Pro. Tweakers published a review of the Buds Pro last year. The Buds2 Pro will be released on Thursday for 229 euros.
