Buds Pro 2 from OnePlus add spatial audio and multipoint

OnePlus has announced the Buds Pro 2 earbuds. The bluetooth earbuds add spatial audio and multipoint, among other things. Thanks to the latter function, they can be connected to multiple devices at the same time. The first Buds Pro couldn’t do that on release.

OnePlus added multipoint to the Buds Pro after the release with an update, but with this Buds Pro 2 it has been in the earbuds from the release. The earbuds have an IP55 rating for water and dust resistance.

The manufacturer has developed the spatial audio function, the effect of making sound appear to be coming from certain directions, in collaboration with Google. A sensor tracks the position of the head to determine the correct direction of the audio. The earbuds also have a slightly longer battery life than the predecessor. The earplugs are released in the Benelux for 179 euros.
