British provider puts product page online for Razer smartphone with 120Hz screen
The British provider Three has put a product page online of the upcoming Razer smartphone. According to that page, the phone has a 120Hz refresh rate, while all other smartphones on the western market have a 60Hz screen.
According to the product page, it is a 5.72 “igzo LCD, reports Android Police. The maker of game accessories would be the first on the western market to release a smartphone with a 120Hz screen. some models with such an LCD appeared in the Japanese market Apple also uses screens with that refresh rate on its latest iPad A screen with a higher refresh rate gives the user the impression that the software runs more smoothly than on a 60Hz screen.
The product page also mentions a working memory of 8GB, something that only the OnePlus 5 smartphone has so far on the western market. The battery has a capacity of 4000mAh. The device has stereo speakers on the front and a dual camera on the back. One is a regular camera, the other should enable ‘optical zoom’. The product page of Three looks reliable, because the provider and Razer announced a collaboration earlier this year and the British operator would therefore have access to information about the device in advance.
An earlier rumor indicated that the phone will receive a Snapdragon 835 from Qualcomm, a soc that almost all high-end Android devices of this year have on board. According to the result of that benchmark, the screen has a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels.
Razer is expected to announce its gaming-focused smartphone on Wednesday, November 1. The manufacturer posted a teaser a few weeks ago that points to this. The maker of mainly game accessories has the expertise for making a smartphone. Earlier this year, it acquired Nextbit, the maker of the Robin smartphone led by a former designer of smartphone maker HTC.
