Bose introduces the Sleepbuds II wireless earphones that mask sound and can play soothing sounds. The new Sleepbuds costs 270 euros and lasts up to ten hours on one battery charge. The first version was withdrawn from the market last year due to problems.

Bose released its first Sleepbuds in 2018, but pulled those earbuds off the market at the end of 2019 due to battery issues. Buyers could get their money back. Bose is now introducing a new version, the Sleepbuds II, which should solve battery problems. The manufacturer writes about the development on its website. According to Bose, a battery is now used that is also in hearing aids.

The Sleepbuds last up to ten hours on a charge and the included storage box with battery is good for three charges. The ears are not suitable for playing music, but are specifically made to wear while sleeping. The wireless earbuds mute sound and the Bose Sleep app allows users to play soothing sounds. There is a choice of 35 tracks. An alarm can also be set via the app.

According to Bose, the new Sleepbuds have a new acoustic and electronic design. The housing is ‘lighter than a coin’, according to a press release. According to the specification page, an earpiece including holder weighs 2.27 grams. Bose will release the Sleepbuds II on October 13 for 270 euros. The price is therefore the same as that of the first version.
