Bose app reports QC35 II Gaming Headset
Bose seems to be releasing a game accessory for its Quiet Comfort 35 II. Code in the Bose Connect App includes a mention of a ‘QC35 II Gaming Headset’ and references to a microphone for gaming.
The code of the Bose Connect App for Android mentions a device codenamed Tibbers, which is a reference to the name of the bear that League of Legends character Annie carries with him. Tibbers turns out to be a gaming microphone that users can connect to a Quiet Comfort 35 II, 9to5Google discovered, which analyzed the apk of the Bose app.
Users can connect the microphone via the aux port of the QC35 II. In this case, bluetooth is switched off. Then users can connect the audio cable to their game system. The app also featured an animation showing how the accessory connects to the headphones.
Bose itself has not yet said anything about a QC35 II Gaming Headset. It is therefore not known whether it is just an accessory, a bundling of the QC35 II with a microphone or an entirely new gaming-oriented variant of the noise-cancelling headphones.
