Bose Announces Google Assistant Optimized QC35 II Headphones

Google and Bose have announced the QuietComfort 35 II, a noise-canceling headset with a button to activate Google Assistant. The voice assistant runs on the user’s smartphone. According to Google, more headphones with the support are on the way.

Users need to connect the Bose QC 35 II to an Android smartphone or iPhone via bluetooth and then go through the steps of the Google Assistant app. With the special Action button on the headphones they can then give voice commands to the assistant.

The support allows the assistant to read out incoming messages, calendar events and other notifications to users of the QC 35 II. In addition, they can control the music, call contacts and record incoming calls with their voice.

According to Bose, the microphone is designed for the product itself and the Action button can also be used to switch modes for noise cancellation. In conjunction with the Bose Connect app, there are three modes: on, low, and off. The QuietComfort 35 II is available immediately in Australia, Germany, France, UK and US. In European countries, the suggested retail price is 379.95 euros. According to Google, they are the first headphones optimized for the Google Assistant and more are on the way.
