Boot Camp 6 has support for Windows 10
Apple has announced Boot Camp 6, according to a support page on the Apple support website. Installing the new version requires OS X Yosemite and supports models of iMacs and Macbooks released from mid-2012.
People with existing 32-bit Windows installations cannot upgrade these and will need to install a 64-bit version of the new operating system, the company writes on a support page, which also contains the full list of supported models.
Boot Camp 6 brings support within Windows 10 for several elements available in some new Mac versions, such as support for USB-3 and USB-C, Thunderbolt, the built-in SD or SDXC card slot, Apple SuperDrives and Apple’s own keyboard , mouse and trackpad.
The new Boot Camp itself automatically downloads all necessary Windows drivers. Macrumors says that the update is still being rolled out and is not yet available for OS X, but sometimes already shows up in Windows partitions.
