Bohemia Interactive Adds Competitive Multiplayer to ArmA 3
ArmA 3 has added a new multiplayer mode to ArmA 3. The mode is called ‘Warlords’. In this, two teams at both ends of the island must gain ground from the non-playable characters and conquer each other’s base.
Bohemia Interactive reports via Steam that players can earn ‘Command Points’ in the new mode. With these points, they can request special drops, such as vehicles, special weapons or AI soldiers who fight for the player’s team. The better a player performs and the more sectors his team owns, the more points he receives.
In addition to the new mode, the update brings the ADR-97 weapon bundle to the base game and adds five new characters. The faces are based on five ArmA 3 developers. These are the result of testing a new photogrammetry rig, which should make rendering faces easier.
