BlueStacks will sell Android console for $129
BlueStacks has announced that it will be selling its recently announced Android-based game console for $129. Incidentally, customers still have to take out a subscription that costs $ 6.99 per month.
The console was already available for preorders, but the price of the device, which BlueStacks has named GamePop, was not yet known. Customers have to pay $129 for the console and a controller, so state on the company’s website. In addition, customers must take out a subscription that costs $ 6.99 per month, which allows approximately 500 Android games to be played via the console.
According to BlueStacks, customers who pre-order the GamePop this month will receive the console for free. However, a subscription must be taken out: those who cancel the contract within twelve months must return the GamePop console and pay $ 25.
BlueStacks is best known for its software to run Android apps within Windows. Several companies have invested in the start-up. Incidentally, in addition to BlueStacks, Ouya will also be launched with an Android console. Like the Ouya, the GamePop is based on Android version 4.2.
