BlueStacks Announces Android Emulator for OS X
At Google’s I/O conference, BlueStacks announced a new version of its Android emulator. This should allow users to run Android apps on OS X. However, not many applications are available yet.
According to BlueStacks, it is an alpha release of its Android emulator for OS X. In addition, the software developer says that only seventeen Android applications are currently suitable to run on the Mac. This mainly concerns games, but Twitter and Whatsapp also work. The number of applications is likely to be increased in the future. BlueStacks announced the emulator for OS X at Google’s own I/O event, but didn’t say when the final version should be ready.
BlueStacks has been available for Windows since last year and works similarly there. Incidentally, several manufacturers also include the emulator on their products. Asus recently announced that it would provide BlueStacks software on its desktops and laptops. Users must pay to use all enabled apps.
