Bloomberg: Apple top presented mixed reality headset to board of directors
Apple’s executives have demonstrated a mixed reality headset to the company’s board of directors. Bloomberg claims that. According to sources who spoke to Bloomberg, the development of the glasses is at a late stage and is an announcement for the near future.
Bloomberg’s journalists spoke in their own words with sources that are close to the development of the headset, but also wish to remain anonymous. They believe that the mixed reality headset that Apple plans to announce is in a late stage of development.
They refer to the alleged demonstration given by the top of Apple to the board of directors during a recent meeting, but also to the work Apple has put into realityOS, the operating system of the headset, in recent weeks. Clues to RealityOS have already been found since 2017, but the operating system has also been mentioned on Twitter at the beginning of this year.
According to Bloomberg, Apple has been busy making AR versions of some of its iPhone apps, but the company has also developed new apps to stream content and hold virtual meetings.
Earlier this year, Bloomberg wrote that Apple had to postpone the announcement of the mixed reality headset for a while due to development problems. Bloomberg suggested that Apple was then targeting late 2022, or early 2023 for the announcement.
