Apple is considering raising the prices of its iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max compared to their predecessors. Insiders told this to the Bloomberg news agency. The company hopes to increase its turnover now that smartphone sales are declining.

Sources report to Bloomberg that Apple wants to produce 85 million iPhone 15 devices this year, compared to 90 million iPhones that the tech giant expected to deliver in the two previous generations. The company wants to increase sales next year and is therefore considering raising the price of its most expensive phones, say anonymous sources familiar with the discussions within Apple.

The current iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max are available from 1326 and 1476 euros respectively. That was already a price increase compared to the 13 Pro and Pro Max, which cost 1126 and 1259 euros at introduction. However, in the US, Apple’s iPhone Pro series has been available for $999 since it was introduced in 2019 with the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max.

Bloomberg also reports that Apple has had “minor” production issues with the screens of its upcoming iPhones. These issues should be resolved within the next two weeks and are not expected to have a major impact on overall production of the new iPhones. The Information reported last week that Apple had problems producing screens with smaller bezels for its iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max.
