Bloodborne is delayed by more than a month and a half, according to publisher Sony Computer Entertainment. The new release date for the game, which will be released exclusively for the PlayStation 4, is set for March 25.

Sony gives few details about the reason for Bloodborne’s delay. On his own blog it is only reported that the development of the PlayStation 4 title requires more time to finally achieve the desired result. For example, the feedback that developer From Software received during the alpha of the game still has to be processed. The Japanese developer is known for the Dark Souls titles, among other things.

A month and a half ago, Sony stated that Bloodborne would be released in Europe on February 6, but the release date has therefore been moved to March 25. In addition to a standard edition, a collector’s edition will also be released that includes a steelbook game case, concept art book and soundtrack. That edition would only be released in a limited edition. Sony also announces that more news about Bloodborne will follow in December.
