Blizzard will release the Dragonflight expansion for World of Warcraft announced in April “later this year.” An exact release date has not yet been announced. The expansion is set in Azeroth and players can explore the new Dragon Isles area there.

In addition to the new area, Dragonflight adds a new playable race: the Dracthyr. That dragon race contains a new class: the Evoker. Players who choose to do so will have various dragon powers at their disposal. Evokers can specialize in healing or ranged dps. Dractyr players can join both the Horde and Alliance.

World of Warcraft Dragonflight Collector’s Set

Blizzard has started presale of the Dragonflight expansion. Digitally there are Basic, Heroic and Epic versions for sale, for 50, 70 and 90 euros. The more expensive versions contain extras such as a character boost to level 60, a Tangled Dreamweaver Flying Mount and the new Murkastraza pet. The Epic version has a number of digital extras and includes 30 days of game time.

Dragonflight will also be released physically as a Collector’s Set. It contains a key for the digital Epic edition and a number of physical items, including a book and a mouse pad. The set can be ordered for 130 euros and will be shipped when the game comes out. Dragonflight is the ninth expansion for World of Warcraft. The mmorpg has been around since 2004.
