Blizzard will release Diablo IV no later than June 2023 and showcase new gameplay
Diablo IV will be released in June 2023 at the latest. The game will also have crossplay and cross-progression across all available platforms. In addition, the necromancer class is added to the well-known game series.
Necromancers are known for being able to resurrect the dead and make them fight at their side. The class has received its own ‘story trailer’ from developer Blizzard. In addition, the studio has shown a new gameplay demo.
In that demo, which is part of the Microsoft & Bethesda Showcase of Sunday, Blizzard explains that Diablo IV will feature nearly 150 different dungeons in total. In addition, there are new so-called strongholds, fortresses of the legions of antagonist Lilith, which players can wipe clean. After they do that, small towns can form in those places.
Multiplayer is also reviewed. Blizzard shows an example of a towering boss monster that must be defeated by teaming up with large numbers of players. Player versus player is also a possibility in specially designed arenas. Blizzard says it plans to provide the game with new content for “years”. The game will be released for the current generation Xbox and PlayStation and for Windows. Also be registrations open for the upcoming beta testing of the game.
