Blizzard shows gameplay Sojourn, the first new hero for Overwatch 2
Blizzard shows the new hero Sojourn in action for the first time with a gameplay trailer. Sojourn falls within the damage class and will be added to the range with the release of Overwatch 2. The character will also be playable during the upcoming beta.
Sojourn, whose real name is Vivian Chase, is a Canadian soldier and part of the Overwatch team. Her main weapon is a railgun, an energy weapon that can shoot very fast as well as a slow, more damaging fire mode. The Disruptor Shot aoe attack slows down all enemies in a small area and deals damage. Furthermore, Sojourn can slide on the ground and jump extra high from this move. During her Ultimate, the railgun is automatically charged and the shots go right through characters, making enemies behind a tank, for example, vulnerable.
Overwatch 2 will go into beta at the end of April and then Sojourn will be playable for the first time. The character is the first new hero for the upcoming game. Furthermore, Sojourn is also coming to the first Overwatch game when Overwatch 2 is released. No release date has yet been announced for the sequel to the 2016 competitive shooter. Initially, Overwatch 2 would be released in 2022, but that is no longer certain.
