Blizzard will roll out the card game Hearthstone to Android tablets in the coming days. To run the game, a minimum of 1GB of RAM is required in combination with Android 4.0 or newer versions of the operating system.

The app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store, according to Blizzard. The tablet version will soon also be available via the Amazon Appstore. Players will receive a pack of game cards free of charge when they play Hearthstone on an Android tablet. All they have to do is play a mode. It makes no difference whether the game in question is won or lost.

Blizzard announced in late October that Hearthstone would be released for Android tablets by the end of the current year. It is now clear that the game needs at least 1GB of RAM in combination with Android 4.0 or higher. The American version of the Hearthstone blog indicates that the tablet version will first be rolled out in Australia, Canada and New Zealand. Other parts of the world would follow later, but the European version of the blog indicates that the game for Android tablets is also available here immediately.

Hearthstone has been available for Windows, Mac and iPad for some time now. The smartphone versions should follow in 2015 and Blizzard indicates in the update that it will provide more information early in 2015. The game is said to have 20 million players and the expansion Goblins vs. Gnomes released.
