Blizzard releases StarCraft: Cartooned
For anyone who has always wondered what it would be like to experience classic Starcraft gameplay combined with a cartoon style graphic, now there is StarCraft: Cartooned. This 2017 StarCraft Remastered add-on basically turns the game into a cartoon.
Blizzard explains that all units, buildings, playing fields, menus and missions in StarCraft: Cartooned have been graphically recreated in the style of Carbot Animations. These are the creations of the Canadian designer Jonathan Burton, who has his own YouTube channel with the necessary videos with cartoons with their own specific style. In keeping with this cartoon style, Burton has created StarCrafts, an animated series of short videos poking fun at the StarCraft franchise.
There are still some elements in StarCraft: Cartooned that have escaped the cartooning treatment, such as full motion videos and certain designs that can be seen at the beginning of each campaign. The core of StarCraft gameplay remains unchanged; there is still a single player campaign and full multiplayer options.
To play the cartoonish revival of StarCraft, interested parties must own the 2017 StarCraft Remastered. StarCraft: Cartooned can be purchased for ten euros in the Blizzard internet store.
