Blizzard appears to be working on a new edition of Diablo. The studio is looking for several collaborators for a new Diablo, including a game director who can lead the project. Josh Mosqueira, until recently game director, has left the studio.

The studio’s Careers page shows that Blizzard is working on a new game in the Diablo series. There are six vacancies to be found, officially for an unannounced project, although the description of the jobs shows that the unannounced project is a Diablo game. Work on the new game is likely yet to begin. The six vacancies are almost all senior positions. For example, the studio is looking for a Senior Concept Artist, a Senior Character Artist, a Senior VFX Artist and a Senior Animator.

More interestingly, Blizzard is also looking for a game director to lead the project. Until recently, that role was filled by Josh Mosqueira. Through Twitter however, Mosqueira makes it clear that he has left the studio. He does not give a reason for his departure. His departure is notable because Mosqueira was praised by fans of the series for his work on Diablo III. Mosqueira became game director after Jay Wilson stepped back. Wilson came under fire because many fans were unhappy with Diablo III when it hit the market in mid-2012. Mosqueira was responsible for the many changes that were made after the game’s release.
