Blizzard is holding online Blizzcon event in February next year
Game company Blizzard has announced BlizzConline. Instead of a physical event at the end of the year, Blizzard is hosting an online event at the beginning of 2021, on February 19 and 20.
Since 2013, Blizzard has been hosting its Blizzcon event in November, but this year there will be no Blizzcon due to the corona pandemic. Instead, the Irvine-based game company has decided to organize a virtual event to take place on February 19 and 20, 2021. In February, Blizzard will also celebrate its 30th anniversary.
Blizzard reports that it is still busy with preparations and will provide more details about BlizzConline later, but the company is already calling on fans to participate. There will be a cosplay exhibition and competition, an exhibition of paintings, drawings, sculptures and videos by fans that relate to the thirty-year history of Blizzard and a Talent Spotlight.
In addition, there will be a virtual March of the Murlocs. Participants can submit photos or short videos of marching or dancing dressed up as Murloc and Blizzard will also accept in-game footage of marching Murlocs. The company will accept submissions for all parts until January 4, 2021.
