Blizzard has several mobile games in production
“Many of our best developers work on mobile games across all of our series,” Blizzard co-founder Allen Adham said in an interview. Some of them, like Diablo Immortal, are made with a partner, while others are made entirely in-house.
Adham made his statement during one of the many press conferences held during the past BlizzCon. The co-founder made the disclosure following the controversy over the announcement of Diablo Immortal, a mobile mmog set in the Diablo universe. Adham stated in the press conference that “many of us have moved in recent years from playing primarily on a desktop to spending many hours gaming on a mobile platform”.
Blizzard has more games in development than ever, Adham says, including the necessary mobile games. In between are games from all major series of the studio. Where Diablo Immortal is made in collaboration with the Chinese NetEase, there are also mobile projects that are made entirely in-house. Adham does not want to let go of which games those are. Information about this will follow in the future, he says. Adham returned to Blizzard in 2016 and is now both executive producer and senior vice president.
