Blizzard brings new map to Overwatch on Tuesday

Blizzard has announced that it will be bringing a new game world to Overwatch next week. The world is named Petra and is set in a fictional version of the city of the same name in Jordan. Some new skins have also been leaked.

The company announced the new world during a game between two American Overwatch teams, Kotaku writes. Petra consists of a desert-like area that was designed after Petra, the Jordanian city where buildings are carved from rocks.

The new world was announced by Blizzard, but unintentionally images of eleven new skins were also leaked and posted on Imgur. The images come from a Taiwanese Overwatch fan club and appear to be real.

The new map and skins are part of the Anniversary event, with Blizzard celebrating the game’s two-year anniversary. The event will take place between May 22 and June 11 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
