Blizzard Announces World of Warcraft Dragonflight Expansion
Blizzard has announced the new expansion for World of Warcraft. The new expansion is called Dragonflight and takes players back to Azeroth. There, players can explore a new area called the Dragon Isles and play with a new class and race.
During a online presentation Blizzard has announced a new expansion for World of Warcraft. World of Warcraft: Dragonflight is the ninth expansion for the mmorpg released in 2004. In a cinematic trailer, Blizzard introduces the new story of World of Warcraft: Dragonflight.
The extension adds a new playable race toe: the Dractyr. This dragon race is the only race in World of Warcraft that can play the new class: the Evoker. This class combines several dragon powers. Evokers have two specializations, one for healing and one for ranged dps. Like the Pandaren race, the Dracthyr can join both the Horde and Alliance.
Regardless of class or race, players can play with a new feature called Dragon Riding. Players can choose their own dragon, which they can use to explore five new zones. Blizzard also plans to overhaul the profession system and interface. The company has not yet announced a release date for the expansion.
The previous expansion World of Warcraft: Shadowlands appeared at the end of 2020. This expansion has received two major updates since its release with new zones, dungeons and raids. In any case, Blizzard has announced another small patch that should appear before the release of the new expansion. Among other things, this update will add the ability for Horde and Alliance players to play together.
A new expansion has also been announced for World of Warcraft: Classic. World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King will come to the classic version of the mmorpg later this year.
