Blindfolded Twitch Streamer Beats Breath of the Wild
Do you know a game so well that you can play it blindfolded, so to speak? Twitch streamer CrystalSaver was so confident in his knowledge of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild that he managed to complete a blindfolded speedrun of the game.
The streamer had started the game on December 16 and finished it on January 26. In total he had spent 104 hours on the ‘speed run’. CrystalSaver had imposed 16 rules on itself, including forbidding outside help and keeping the blindfold on during the stream. After streaming, he did look at the images from the last session. These were supposed to help him with the next stream.
The speedrunner has collected all memories, obtained the Master Sword and completed all major missions. He completed the entire storyline. He moved through the game based on sounds. Jumping allowed him to figure out what kind of surface he was on in the game and ensured he kept walking in a straight line. According to Dot Esports, it’s the first time anyone has blindfolded and completed a full speedrun of Breath of the Wild.
