Tecmo Koei has announced Bladestorm: Nightmare. According to the Japanese company, the game will be released in Europe in the first quarter of 2015 for the PlayStation 3 and 4 and the Xbox One. It is a sequel to Bladestorm: The Hundred Years War.

Tecmo Koei announced this on its Facebook page. The Japanese company has revealed some details about the storyline. Bladestorm: Nightmare is a strategy game, set again in the Middle Ages. Like its predecessor, the game focuses on historical events from that time. Players take on the role of a mercenary who can fight for England or France. Bladestorm: Nightmare would therefore be a re-release, with new content added, such as the Nightmare scenario. It is also a working title, which means that the name can still change.

The game is the successor to Bladestorm: The Hundred Years War, which was released in 2007 for the PS3 and the Xbox 360. The penultimate console from Microsoft seems to fall outside the boat for the new title. There is also no mention of a PC version. The release date has not yet been announced. Tecmo Koei has only reported that the game will be released in Europe in Q1 2015 for the PS4, PS3 and Xbox One.
