Bitcoin Value Continues to Rise, Reaching Above $3,000 for the First Time
The price of bitcoin has crossed the $3,000 level this weekend. This is the highest value to date. The price of the cryptocurrency has been on the rise for a long time, just like that of Ethereum.
The price rose to just above USD 3000 on Sunday evening, after which a level of USD 3,040 was reached again on Monday, approximately 2700 euros. Currently, the price has fallen below that level again and is now around 2650 euros. According to Coindesk, the cryptocurrency is growing steadily, but a hedge fund manager tells the site that other cryptocurrencies are experiencing faster growth. Bitcoin’s growth is said to be due to renewed investor interest.
One of the investors explains to the site that bitcoin is often the first place to get alt coins, and then exchange them for other digital currencies. One of the other currencies is Ethereum, which has been experiencing rapid growth since March. The price rose from around $100 to its current level of $378 between May 20. Bitcoin’s recent surge in price occurred over the same period, with growth starting in March. In April, the currency reached its highest level since 2013.
