Mmorpg Star Wars: The Old Republic is getting a new expansion called Onslaught. This includes two new planets, an increased maximum level, new abilities and the introduction of tactical items.

The two new locations are Onderon, with wild jungles, and Mek-Sha, a hollowed-out asteroid that contains a gas station full of criminals. Players will also travel to Dxun, a moon of Onderon, where a new Operation is ready, writes developer BioWare Austin.

The denouement of Onslaught’s storyline takes place on Corellia. The planet is under attack by the Sith Empire, who want to take the newly built shipyard of the Republic. Players have the task of defending Corellia against the Sith, but also have the opportunity to defect and work for the Sith.

The gameplay of Star Wars: The Old Republic is also getting some tweaks. So-called tactical items are introduced and have their own gear slot. These items affect players’ abilities and play style. The developer is not providing more information at this time.

Star Wars: The Old Republic: Onslaught is free to subscribers to the PC game and will be released in September. SW:TOR was originally released in 2011 and Onslaught will be the seventh expansion for the game.
