BioWare Brings Dragon Age Keep into Open Beta
Developer BioWare has released the open beta of Dragon Age Keep. Gamers can use the web service to review decisions from the two previous titles and thus import a new, personal storyline into the new game, Dragon Age: Inquisition.
The free functionality only requires a login via Origin. The Keep web service then offers the possibility to adjust choices made in the previous two games in the Dragon Age series. For example, the changes made to the player’s game history can affect the inter-relationships created in-game.
Ultimately, the updated profile of the player can be exported to Dragon Age: Inquisition via the so-called World State Manager. That profile is then the starting point of the new game. BioWare emphasizes that Inquisition cannot import full save files from the predecessors. It’s all about choice history. Keep offers about three hundred decision moments for this.
Keep can only be used via browsers for now. BioWare does not differentiate between PCs, tablets and smartphones, as the service is available on all platforms that support a browser. Dragon Age: Inquisition should be available in Europe from November 21. The game is out for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
