Biostar Introduces New Series AMD Pro Motherboards

Motherboard manufacturer Biostar has released a new series of Pro motherboards for AMD CPUs: the AMD A70MD Pro, A70MG Pro and A68MD Pro. The motherboards are distinguished by an extra reinforced backplate for the CPU.

Furthermore, the boards use Nichicon capacitors for the onboard audio circuit, and the boards feature a new design that should lead to a more stable power supply at a high current. The reinforced backplate for the CPU is called ‘Iron Heart Protect’ by Biostar.

The motherboards are suitable for AMD processors that fit into an FM2 or FM2+ socket, such as the A10, A8, A6, A4, E2, and Athlon II X4. The memory slots accept two DDR3-2600 modules up to a maximum of 32GB. For external connections, the boards have a Realtek RTL8111G chipset on board. All boards have onboard VGA, while the A70MG Pro does not have a DVI port. Incidentally, the video outputs only work if the processor in question is an apu, or a cpu and gpu combined. The boards all have four USB 3.0 and six USB 2.0 connections.
