Biostar introduces mini PC iDEQ-T1
Biostar introduced its latest project at Computex: a very compact mini PC it calls the iDEQ-T1. The system is built around a mitx board with extra low connectors and a Bay Trail soc.
The small system could serve as an htpc, among other things. The box is only slightly larger than the mitx motherboard that forms the basis. The iDEQ-T1 has a J1800TH motherboard on board. This board is of the so-called thin mini-itx type, which means that the I/O ports and other components do not protrude higher than 25mm above the board. The cooling block for passive cooling has also been kept so low.
The system features a dual-core J1800 soc with two Bay Trail cores clocked at 2.41GHz and HD Graphics. The board contains an hdmi, d-sub, a usb 2.0 and a 3.0 connection on the back and a header for two more usb 2.0 ports and a gigabit ethernet connection. Audio is provided through two mini-jacks. The system is delivered as barebone: the user must connect one or two ddr3-so-dimms and a sata drive. The barebone costs about 160 euros.
