Bigben introduces PlayStation 1 alarm clock and illuminated PS cube speaker
Game publisher and accessory manufacturer Bigben Interactive is coming to PlayStation fans with an alarm clock that resembles Sony’s PS1 like two drops of water. In addition, the company is releasing a luminous Bluetooth speaker that is also inspired by PlayStation hardware.
The PS1AC is an alarm clock with the look of the gray PlayStation 1 from 1994. The device wakes the user with three built-in buzzer sounds, while the dual alarm function makes it possible to set two different alarm times, for example for the weekend and by the week.
The alarm clock lighting can be dimmed to thirty percent or switched off completely. The device also features an upward beam of light that allows the user to project the PlayStation logo or the four PS symbols onto the ceiling. You can choose between the two effects by sliding one of the supplied ‘cartridges’ into the alarm clock. According to Bigben Interactive, it is an officially licensed PlayStation product.
The same goes for the also new PS200. This is a bluetooth speaker in the shape of a cube that can light up in different colors via the supplied remote control. Each side and top of the cube is embellished with the four PlayStation symbols and the platform logo, respectively. By means of the USB and 3.5 mm connection, the user can also play music via a USB stick or external sound source.
The new gadgets are not yet on the Bigben website, but are already available through web shops in the Benelux. The PS1AC alarm clock has a suggested retail price of 40 euros, the PS200 speaker changes hands for 69.90 euros.
