Bethesda stops development for card game The Elder Scrolls: Legends
Bethesda is stopping future developments for The Elder Scrolls: Legends, a card game that the game maker has released for various platforms. The game remained playable, but the development of new expansion packs has stopped.
Bethesda will continue with the in-game events and monthly rewards for now, but Bethesda has stopped other development for the game, according to the announcement. Gaea Mobile Limited will continue to actively develop the Asian version of the game.
The Elder Scrolls: Legends was announced at E3 in 2015. The virtual card game has been in the making since 2013 and was released in 2017 for PC, Android, iOS and later also for various consoles. The free-to-play card game features a single player campaign and it is possible to compete against other players or the computer in individual matches.
Bethesda emphasizes that players can continue to play the game in the single player and multiplayer options. In addition, the next time players log in, players will receive The Tamriel Collection of cards for free.
