Bethesda released a gameplay trailer for Rage 2 and revealed some details about the game. It will be an ‘open world fps’ and the game will be released in 2019. Avalanche Studios, known for the Just Cause series, is collaborating on the game.

The gameplay trailer shows a lot of action and it appears that Rage 2 also contains vehicles, just like the first part. Bethesda has put a blog online with some more information about the game. The main character of Rage 2 is Walker. In his skin, the player must survive the chaos in the post-apocalyptic world.

Bethesda also announced that the game is being developed by id Software and Avalanche Studios. That Swedish studio made the Just Cause games, also open world games with a lot of action. According to publisher Bethesda, id Software’s shooter expertise and Avalanche Studios’ sandbox game experience will be reflected in Rage 2.

Players get abilities and special powers, which can be combined with weapons. When performing actions, an Overdrive meter is filled. When full, Walker’s weapons deal more damage and the player’s health regenerates faster.

The game will be released sometime in 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Bethesda will announce more about the game during its E3 press conference in June.
