Bethesda Extends Pre-Beta Fallout 76’s Nuclear Winter
The recently announced ‘pre-beta’ of Fallout 76’s battle royale mode will remain available for free for now. Also, the mode will receive more updates. The test was supposed to last from June 10 to 17, but Bethesda says it is extending it due to its popularity.
Fallout 76’s battle royale mode was announced at E3 last week, along with the announcement that everyone could play Fallout 76 and the new mode for free from June 10-17. Due to its success, access to Nuclear Winter has been extended to a date yet to be determined, according to Bethesda. Furthermore, updates will continue to come for the new mode.
In the battle royale mode, 52 players, in teams of four, fight to the last man to find the next Vault 51 Overseer. In the mode, players can rank up, unlock new and exclusive perks, and build a CAMP. There is also a possibility to detonate a nuclear bomb. The further a player gets, the more parts of Vault 51 he unlocks. Players can also unlock rewards such as cosmetics and workshop items, which are then available to all characters in all modes.
Fallout 76 came out in late November last year and has had some issues since its release. For example, players teleported to unreleased Vaults, there were godmode bugs and a range of other problems.
