BeReal receives a curated feed with ‘famous’ people
Social network BeReal receives a curated feed containing posts from more or less famous people. The company announced this. It is the second new major feature in the company’s app in a few weeks.
BeReal RealPeople
The function is called RealPeople, says BeReal. These are posts from, for example, athletes, actors and other people with some fame for one reason or another. The feature will first go live in the United Kingdom and should be released in other countries soon. Users can comment with a RealMoji, but users won’t see other users’ RealMojis on that post. This should prevent users from wanting to collect RealMojis.
BeReal has already introduced another new feature in recent weeks, allowing it to post two additional photos if a user has posted a first photo within two minutes. This should encourage users to post a photo as quickly as possible. BeReal gained popularity last year due to its limited operation. Users can post one post per day and BeReal will send all users a notification at the same time to do so at a random time of the day. This limited effect ensures that BeReal functions as an anti-Instagram.
