Benchmarks probably show 12nm Ryzen processor at 4.35GHz
Benchmarks have emerged of an AMD Ryzen processor with eight cores with a turbo speed of up to 4.35GHz. It is probably a new processor made at 12nm.
The benchmarks have been put online by the South Korean Hardware Battle, but the relevant post has now been locked behind a password. VideoCardz, among others, has taken over the information and screenshots.
The processor used does not yet have a name, it is probably an engineering sample and therefore no type number is displayed. The number of cores and the clock speed indicate that it may be the successor to a processor such as the Ryzen 7 1700X or 1800X. The chip could clock the cores to 4.35GHz with xfr 2.0. The current Ryzen 7 1800X has a maximum turbo speed of 4.1GHz with xfr.
AMD announced at the beginning of this year that a series of new Ryzen processors will be released in April. The new variants, presumably named Ryzen 7 2700X, are made on GlobalFoundries’ 12nm process and the updated Zen cores are named Zen+. Earlier, a mention of the Ryzen 5 2600 appeared in a benchmark database.
