Benchmarks: AMD Ryzen 7 8700G APU up to 25 percent faster than Ryzen 5 8600G APU
Benchmark results have surfaced for the AMD Ryzen 7 8700G and Ryzen 5 8600G APU. The single-thread score of the Ryzen 7 8700G is about 10 percent higher than that of the Ryzen 5 8600G. The multicore score of this chip would be 25 percent higher.
The benchmark results show that the Ryzen 7 8700G apu achieves a single thread score of 2720 points. The multithread score of this APU is 14326 points. Bee the Ryzen 5 8600G the single thread score is 2474 points and the multicore score is 11453 points.
Whether these results are also reliable remains to be seen. It is certain that the Ryzen 7 apu was tested with Geekbench 6.2.2, while the Ryzen 5 chip went through its tests in Geekbench 6.0.1. Both APUs were tested in a system with 32GB of DDR5-6400 RAM. AMD introduced the Ryzen 8000G desktop processors in early January. These AM5 CPUs have an integrated RDNA 3 GPU and have Zen 4 or Zen 4c cores. The chips will be on store shelves from January 31.
