Be quiet releases new version of Dark Rock Top Flow cooler for 86 euros
Be quiet announces the Dark Rock TF 2, a successor to the high-end Top Flow cooler from 2015. Like the predecessor, the new model has two 135mm fans, but is slightly heavier and, according to the manufacturer, can cool up to 230W.
The be quiet Dark Rock TF 2 weighs 945 grams according to the specifications. The predecessor that appeared in 2015 has a weight of 810 grams. That model had a slightly lower cooling capacity of 220W. Measuring 163x140x134mm, the new version is also slightly higher than its predecessor, which measures 163x140x131mm. The number of six heatpipes is unchanged.
It is also possible to use the Dark Rock TF 2 with a single fan, so that the cooler is about 2cm less high. Be quiet provides the Top Flow cooler with a Silent Wings 3 fan of 25mm and a variant of 22mm. The fan at the top has a funnel-shaped air inlet.
Be quiet supply the cooler with mounting options for all current AMD and Intel sockets. From August 10, the Dark Rock TF 2 is for sale, for a suggested retail price of 85.90 euros. The predecessor had the same suggested retail price when it was introduced in 2015 and is currently for sale for about ten euros less.
