Be Quiet comes with the Dark Power Pro 11 line of high-end PSUs. The power supplies are available in 850, 1000 and 1200W variants and all meet the 80Plus Platinum standard. The suggested retail prices of the Dark Power 11 models are between 225 and 289 euros.

The German manufacturer already showed its new power supply series at Cebit in March; now the line is actually available. The power of the Dark Power 11 power supplies has remained the same compared to the predecessors from the Dark Power 10 series: 850W, 1000W or 1200W. The semi-modular power supplies have also been given Be Quiet’s ‘Overclocking Key’. This is a metal lock plate that is connected to the power supply with a cable. The button on the Overclocking Key allows the power supply to deliver its full power to the 12V line on a single rail. Normally, the power supply uses four rails for this.

There are changes in efficiency. For example, the entire line now has an 80Plus Platinum certification. In the Dark Power 10 series, only the 850W model lived up to that; the other two models had the lower 80Plus Gold certification. According to Be Quiet, the maximum efficiency of the new power supplies is 94 percent. Standby consumption has been reduced by more than two-thirds. The 2.4 kilo power supplies are one and a half kilos lighter than the Dark Power 10 models. The power supplies do not last as long according to the specified specifications: an average of 100,000 hours, where the Dark Power 10 power supplies were promised an average of 300,000 hours.

Like the older models, the Dark Power 11 power supplies include a Silentwings fan from Be Quiet. This 135mm fan now has a six-pole motor instead of a four-pole one, which should make the fan quieter. A funnel-shaped inlet should also contribute to this. The fan rotates at speeds between 250 and 1800rpm, or 250 and 1500rpm for the 850W model, depending on the temperature. This has reduced the maximum speed compared to the Dark Power 10-series, which means that the noise level under maximum load is also lower according to the specifications: 27.9, 26.3 and 20.1dBA for the 1200W, 1000W and 850W respectively. fashion model.

The Dark Power 11 power supplies each have a total of 19 connections. There are ten SATA connections and seven IDE connections. The power supply can also power two floppy disk drives. There are six 6+2 pin and one six pin PCI-e connectors on the power supply, which is certified for both SLI and Crossfire. The speed of the up to four connected case fans can be controlled automatically using a temperature sensor.

The Dark Power 11 power supplies are available immediately. The suggested retail price is 225 euros for the 850W model, 259 euros for the 1000W model, and 289 euros for the 1200W model. All power supplies come with a five-year warranty. In the event of a defect in the first year, the power supply will be replaced free of charge on site within 48 hours.
