Briton Matt Denton, who is one of the creators of the Star Wars droid BB-8, is building a life-size Lego Technic kart into which he himself fits. He makes the kart using three 3d printers.

Denton, as described on his YouTube channel, specializes in animatronics and has worked in the film and TV industry for 25 years. He helped build the Star Wars droid BB-8, which he is also said to have operated on the film set. In his spare time Denton has another hobby; he makes enlarged versions of Lego Technic kits using his 3d printers. In 2017 he already made an enlarged kart based on a Lego model with number 1972, from 1985, together with his nephew.

Apparently that result was not big enough for him, because he is now working on a variant that fits him. His goal is to give this kart an electric motor so that he can actually drive it. He prints the parts with a Lulzbot Taz6 and two Lulzbot Mini 2 printers. The parts consist of several smaller parts and are reinforced here and there with screws and metal rods.
