Bayonetta Studio Announces Nintendo Switch Game Astral Chain
PlatinumGames, the studio behind the Bayonetta series, announces Astral Chain. The futuristic action game is about a special police unit and will be released on August 30 for Nintendo Switch.
According to the description, Astral Chain takes place in a multicultural futuristic city and players team up with a humanoid special weapon called Legion. That character seems to be attached to the player with a chain. Furthermore, there are both fire and melee weapons in the action game.
The game is directed by Takahisa Taura, who was also instrumental in the making of Nier: Automata. Hideki Kamiya, who was responsible for Bayonetta, oversees the development.
Astral Chain will be released on August 30th exclusively for Nintendo Switch. PlatinumGames is also working hard on Bayonetta 3, Nintendo said during its Direct presentation. New information about that game, which was announced in 2017, has not been disclosed.
