Electronic Arts and Visceral Games have provided more details about the Battlefield Hardline open beta, which has no release date yet. For example, there is no restriction on the level a player can achieve, allowing them to unlock different features.

While the publisher and developer have not announced an open beta date, it is clear that players on all platforms will be able to participate. This concerns the Xbox and PlayStation consoles and the PC. Anyone can participate and the same game modes are available on all platforms.

Participants of the open beta will have access to new gadgets. Two maps and modes will also be playable. First up is the Hotwire mode, which they say combines war and speed. The second mode is Conquest, where agents and criminals compete against each other. Visceral Games will not introduce a maximum level that can be reached in the Open Beta. This allows different classes, weapons and gadgets to be tested. However, it is unclear whether the game progress in the final game will also be preserved.

Battlefield Hardline was originally supposed to be released in the fall of 2014, but later the game’s arrival was pushed back to early 2015. Ultimately, Electronic Arts announced in October that the shooter will be available in stores from March 19.
