Battlefield 6 will be announced on June 9th

Battlefield 6 will be revealed on June 9, according to the official Battlefield Twitter account. It is also not yet clear when the game will appear exactly or in which setting the shooter will take place.

Rumors about a new Battlefield game have been circulating for some time now. Now it has official Twitter account of the game announced that we’ll be hearing more about Battlefield 6 on June 9th. Publisher EA will announce more at 4 p.m. local time.

Previously, screenshots that are believed to be images from Battlefield 6 have surfaced, but it is unknown if the images are authentic. The screenshots show an island and Battlefield seems to return to a modern setting.

Battlefield 5 is the current installment in the shooter series and is set during World War II. This game came out in 2018. Before that, the Battlefield series was in World War I. Battlefield 4 from 2013 was the last Battlefield game in a modern war setting.

It was already known that Battlefield 6 should be released at the end of 2021. That was stated by publisher EA in the quarterly figures in February this year.
