Battlefield 1 Premium players can invite friends to DLC maps

DICE introduces Battlefield Premium Friends. The feature allows players who pay for the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass to invite friends to play maps from the DLC without them owning them. There are, however, a number of restrictions.

Friends of the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass owners can participate in sessions using the paid DLC maps, but will not earn XP. These experience points will be saved and later ‘paid out’ if the player decides to purchase the Premium Pass.

In addition, only owners of the Premium Pass or specific expansion pack can spawn with weapons and vehicles unique to that expansion. Also, only they can save for the medals and codices that can be earned in that expansion.

The feature is activated when someone makes a party in Battlefield 1 that includes someone with a Premium Pass. The party will then be ‘Premium Enabled’ for everyone in that group. It will then be possible to play on all maps, regardless of whether the players have the paid DLC packs. DICE says it will activate a trial of Premium Friends on March 30.
