Battlefield 1 DLC Apocalypse Adds Two Airplane Maps
The upcoming, fourth and final Battlefield 1 DLC is called Apocalypse. This adds five multiplayer maps, two of which are specifically intended as a stage for aerial combat. The expansion will be released sometime in February.
The London Calling and Razor’s Edge maps are made exclusively for aerial duels with aircraft. In addition, there are three other maps, focusing on the battle at Passchendaele, the confrontation between Austria and Italy in Caporetto and the battles at the river Somme. The DLC Apocalypse will be released in February, although EA has not yet announced an exact release date. This expansion is available immediately to owners of a Battlefield 1 premium pass.
In addition to some new maps, developer Dice also adds new vehicles, weapons and gadgets to the DLC. For example, the Assault class will have access to a missile weapon with which damage can be done to aircraft. The bombers Hansa Brandenburg GI and the Airco DH10 will also be available on the Caporetto map.
Recently, EA made the Prize de Tahure map of the They Shall Not Pass DLC available to all owners of Battlefield 1. Until January 22, players can try out the content of the They Shall Not Pass and In the Name of the Tsar DLC. Premium pass holders will get access to the new content of the Turning Tides DLC, which revolves around the Battle of the North Sea, at the end of January.
