Batman Arkham Developer’s Suicide Squad Game Delayed To 2023

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, the latest game from Batman Arkham developer Rocksteady Studios, has been delayed. Rocksteady hopes to release the game in the spring of 2023. An exact release date has not yet been announced.

Creative director and Rocksteady co-founder Sefton Hill says the development team needs more time to finish the game. “We’ve made the difficult decision to move the release of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League to Spring 2023,” writes Hill in a tweet. “I understand this can be frustrating, but we’re going to take the time to make our best game.”

The news that the release of Suicide Squad has been delayed is not entirely unexpected. People involved in the development of the game previously said to Bloomberg to be released next year. Why the release of the game was pushed back, however, was not said. In addition, Rocksteady and publisher Warner Bros. had not yet confirmed the postponement.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was announced in August 2020. It is an open-world third-person shooter that can be played alone or in co-op in teams of up to four players. It comes out on Windows, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X.
