Bang & Olufsen introduces uhdtv Beovision 14
Bang & Olufsen has announced the BeoVision 14, a UHD TV that will be available with screen diagonals of 40 and 55 inches. The model runs on Android TV and supports Google Cast functionality.
The BeoVision 14 is built around a 100Hz/120Hz screen that shows the uhd resolution. The TV can handle the HEVC and VP9 codecs for 4K content. Bang & Olufsen supplies the TVs calibrated from the factory. At the back are four HDMI 2.0 inputs with support for HDCP 2.2 copy protection. In addition, there are three outputs for what Bang & Olufsen calls Peripheral Unit Controllers, to which up to six external devices such as set-top boxes can be connected for remote control operation.
Below the screen, a three-way speaker system with ¾” tweeter, 2″ midranger and 4″ bass speaker is integrated and concealed behind thin oak slats. Bang & Olufsen is also introducing a new version of its BeoRemote One remote control. The BeoRemote One Bluetooth contains a keyboard with four MyButtons for snapshots of the used settings such as the set volume and source.
The 40″ BeoVision 14 is for sale for 6780 euros, the 55″ variant has a price tag with 8980 euros on it.
